Our Australian Tour

For years now, Australia has been a favorite destination for family tours. The moderate climate and the diversity in geographical features made it a favorite of many people from all over the world. We were also planning for a trip there, but unfortunately it got delayed due to various reasons. At last we got a chance to visit there during last summer.

When we planned a trip to Sydney, we were determined to make it a reality this time. I started my work for getting tickets on cheap international flights. Many airlines like Air France, British Airways etc are operating flights to Sydney. I approached almost all airlines that were operating cheap flights to Sydney and bargained for getting flight tickets for cheap price.

The day when we reached there was a rainy day and it was beautiful to see the rain drops falling from the trees. We really enjoyed the rain as if we had gone for monsoon tour. Sydney has diversity in its geography with beaches on one end and thick forest on the other side. We have enjoyed the trekking through the dense forest and also enjoyed the bath in the beach. There are many open places and parks which provides a lot of opportunities for recreation. When I and my wife passed time in talking with each other under a tree, our children were enjoying various games there in those parks. The trekking in the Blue Mountain area was also a thrilling experience which our children enjoyed the most.

Chinese Garden of Friendship, Sydney Park, Hyde Park, Botanical Garden etc were also beautiful places to visit and each place has its own specialty to attract the tourists. We have seen a large number of foreigners enjoying different recreational activities in these parks. The introduction of cheap tickets to Sydney has increased the number of visitors during last several years.

As usual we had gone for shopping also as a part of our tour. Shopping in Sydney is a different experience with a large number of world class shopping malls and large and small retail outlets in different areas. Pitt Street is the main business centre with a large number of shops selling almost every item available under the sun. Here you will get an opportunity for a bargain and the quality of the products being sold here also very good. Designer wears and fashion accessories are the items that have more demand.

The experience of shopping at Rocks Market in the Rocks district is totally different. This market is mainly for antiques, handicrafts and for souvenirs. We have spent almost a whole day in this market, just seeing the beautiful works exhibited here. There are many other shopping destinations in Sydney which attracts tourists in good numbers. The places like Elizabeth and Castlereagh is a famous destination for those who are looking for the dresses in the latest fashion. No: 1 Martin Place is another such location for fashion lovers. Even after spending more than a week on these shopping areas we still feel that we could not see most of the shopping areas in the city. We have decided for another trip to Sydney exclusively for shopping.

Shopping without sleep

Tel Aviv , the capital of Israel has the distinction of a city that never sleeps. In earlier days it was due to various attacks and bombing the denizens could not sleep. Now they are enjoying their life and they did not want to waste a second for sleeping. True to the name of the city the shops and other facilities for tourists will be kept open 24 hours a day in most of the areas. You can see a number of restaurants and nightclubs that work past midnight. There will be people always in the street. When I reached here, I was quite surprised to see people on streets even past midnight. Slowly I got habituated with that and even I tried to be awake all the day. The city life is so active that it gives no time to sleep at all.

When my company asked me to go to Tel Aviv on a mission the first thing I did was to look for cheap flights to Tel Aviv. Almost all airlines including British Airways and Air France are operating flights to Tel Aviv. There are many regional airlines that are operating cheap domestic flights too.

Along with my work I went to see some of the places of importance also. Israel has many such heritage sites and other historically important sites. However the real enjoyment was just walking in the streets. Walking on crowded streets such as Allenby Street was really an unforgettable experience. The shops on both the sides of these streets were busy with people who have come there for shopping. Almost everything you will get in these shops and I have seen many wayside vendors too who were shouting something in the local language to attract the customers. The activities on the streets also will continue past midnight.

There are many modern shopping malls are also here. Dizengoff Center Shopping Mall is one such shopping center with all modern facilities. The air conditioned shopping mall with neatly dressed customer care assistants makes your shopping experience an elite one. You will get royal treatment here as there will be a helper with each customer to explain about various products displayed there and also to guide you to various floors where the things you are looking for have been displayed. To visit this destination these days, cheap tickets to Tel Aviv are available.

I visited some other shopping malls also such as Opera Shopping Mall. While they provide you the happiness of shopping in a modern city the street side vendors and the local markets at various places in the city will provide you the atmosphere of a village market. I have purchased some attractive handicrafts as a souvenir of my tour.

I had to return from Tel Aviv in 10 days. I feel that I could not experience the city completely. Anyway I will go there in the near future to experience the city fully and shopping will be the most important thing in my agenda.
